Rossi 95 Lever Action Fitting Guide
Not a 92. Not a Marlin. Here's what you need to know.
The Rossi 95 might look like a Marlin 336, but it has its own unique stock and forearm pattern. It's not compatible with Marlin, Rossi 92, or Heritage parts. It’s a hybrid design built by Rossi and introduced more recently to offer a .30-30 lever-action at an affordable price point.
Key Differences
-
Unique Receiver Design:
While it resembles a Marlin, the internal layout and stock mounting points are Rossi-specific. -
Pistol Grip Stock Only:
The Rossi 95 comes with a pistol grip stock, with a curved section behind the trigger. -
Forearm Attachment:
The forearm uses an end cap, similar to Marlin end-cap rifles, but fitment is not interchangeable. -
Calibre:
Chambered in .30-30 Winchester, not the pistol calibres used in Rossi 92s. -
Fitment Notes
-
Stocks and handguards are unique to the Rossi 95
-
Do not use parts from Rossi 92, Heritage, or Marlin 336 rifles — they won’t fit
