Henry Lever Action Fitting Guide
Know your grip style. Get the right fit.
When upgrading or replacing parts on your Henry rifle, it's important to identify your grip style. While most Henry centerfire lever actions use a universal handguard, the butt stock will differ based on whether you have a pistol grip or a straight grip configuration.
Pistol Grip Stock
The pistol grip features a curved section behind the trigger, offering a more vertical and ergonomic hold. It's typically found on Henry’s more premium or modern models.
-
Grip: Curved downward behind the trigger
-
Stock Fitment: Requires a pistol grip-specific butt stock
-
Handguard Fitment: Standard Henry centerfire handguard
- Uses the standard Henry centerfire handguard
Straight Grip Stock
The straight grip runs in a clean line with no drop or curve behind the trigger. It's classic and simple, often found on traditional Henry models.
-
Grip: Straight-line stock with no pistol dip
-
Stock Fitment: Requires a straight grip butt stock
-
Handguard Fitment: Standard Henry centerfire handguard
- Uses the standard Henry centerfire handguard
Not all Henry rifles use the centerfire pattern:
-
Henry Long Ranger models
→ Require their own specific handguard and butt stock -
Henry .22LR rifles (like the H001 series)
→ Require rimfire-specific handguards and butt stocks
